Our older children work in English on real academic content, while keeping the independence and self-direction they built in the early years. Many of them will continue their education in another country and another system, so we prepare them for structure as deliberately as we protect their curiosity.

Inside Primary Education Program
Taught in English
The programme runs in English throughout, which matters for families who expect to move on to an English-language system.

Children keep choosing and planning their work, inside clear expectations and consistent boundaries they understand.

We build the habits — following instructions, accepting responsibility, working to a deadline — that a more formal environment will expect.
The Cultural Area
Geography, botany, zoology and history are explored hands-on rather than memorised.
Additional classes
Swimming and chess are available alongside the core programme.
Afternoon program
After the core day, children can stay on from 15:00 to 16:45 for mental arithmetic, reading and writing, drums, chess, gardening, English club and art.
The Balu Kids Initiative
Beyond the campus, Balu Kids supports families who have no home. So far seven houses have been built, funded by donations from our founder and the Balu Kids community.
Additional classes and afternoon program
Swimming and chess are available as additional classes. After the core day, an afternoon program runs from 15:00 to 16:45.

How the day is shaped
The sequence is the same for every group. Exact times vary by age — ask us for the current schedule.
- Arrival. Children arrive with a parent, or on our optional minibus.
- Morning movement. Morning exercises, children’s yoga and handstands to wake up body and mind.
- Second breakfast. A second breakfast follows the morning movement — for example eggs, pancakes or banana tofu.
- Montessori work cycle. Children choose their work from the prepared environment and stay with it.
- Classes. For ages 2–6: emotional reading and stories, pianica, Bahasa Indonesia, cooking and dancing.
- Lunch. A cooked meal prepared on site, with our own whole-grain bread.
- Nap. A proper daytime nap in our nap room.
- Outdoor play. Time on the natural playground — stone, grass, sand and wood.
- Extra classes. Children in the Primary Education Program can join swimming and chess, and stay on for the afternoon program until 16:45.
- Home. Pick-up by parents or, if you use it, our minibus, plus a written report of the day.

- No admin fees and no hidden charges. You only pay for the subscription.
- A one-off deposit of 500,000 IDR applies, per child.
- Additional 10% discount on tuition fees for each additional sibling attending.
